This is a photo of the abandoned Prince of Wales bridge linking the cities of Ottawa and Gatineau over the Ottawa River. It was one of the earliest rail lines across Ontario and Quebec, built in 1880. It has been abandoned for many years and last used by a train in 2001. There is hope that one day it will be transformed into a walking/cycling bridge. When I took this shot, the warm glow of the setting sun made the normally drab old rusted bridge and graffiti come to life.
