This is a photo of the Flora Footbridge over the Rideau Canal in Ottawa. The bridge was named after The Honourable Flora MacDonald and opened in 2019. It links the communities of Old Ottawa East and the Glebe creating a new connection in the city while reducing reliance on car traffic. This shot was taken in the Spring of 2020, in the first wave of the COVID lockdown. The sun had just set and the beautiful blue hour colours had surrounded the bridge. As I was walking, the bridge lit up and brought to life the reflections of the tree, buildings and bridge in the still waters of the Rideau Canal.
