For most of the winter I don't do a lot of astro-landscape photography, but once March rolls around the Milky Way returns to the northern hemisphere and I am eager to go out and try to capture it once again. This giant 'ice monster' had formed on the south shore of Manitoulin Island and made for the perfect point of interest. I used a flashlight app on my phone to illuminate the foreground and positioned my camera to make it appear as though the monster was breathing out a cloud of frosted stars.
