This shot was taken as we'd just reached our vehicle after a dawn to dusk cross country ski trip in to the western alberta back county. It had been an extraordinarily warm day, but as the light dropped and the moon rose it cooled extremely quickly. The moon rise seemed to be our reward for a tough ski in and out, and it was magnificent backed by a dusty rose sky.
