I've lived my entire life around the lakes, bays and rivers of Ontario and I've seen many interesting ice features in the winter, but the day that I captured this image was definitely special. This pile of 'ice stones' was impressive to see. The ice had obviously broken up and the waves had tumbled the chunks back and forth on the shoreline until they had been nicely rounded. I definitely discovered these at the right time, for a storm blew in the next day and covered them completely in snow.
