One of my favorite locations in the Canadian Rockies is Abraham Lake and I find it particularly fascinating in the winter months. As the lake freezes, the ice often shifts and heaves resulting in some incredible formations. On this particular visit to the lake, I was so intrigued by the formations of the ice that seemed to mimic the shapes of the mountains.
