An old tree stump still clinging to the dry lake bed of Abraham lake, Alberta. This lake has a very low water level in the spring and early summer but fills completely by late summer. 43 years before this photo was taken this tree and thousands more would have been cut down to clear the forested valley. This valley would later become the reservoir named Abraham lake created by the Bighorn Dam on the north saskatchewan River.
