Taken on Nov 22 2020
November 2020, on a very lucky night, I set up my camera at Emerald Lake Lodge, Yoho National Park, BC, aiming for a night shot winter wonderland snowy look including the cabin with the warm lights on, mountains, stars, snow and reflections on the water. I spent a few hours outside, in the cold, when luckily an amazing Aurora Borealis started to show up in my frame! Firstly, as a very faint green band, but then ramped up to a strong green even including some pillars! It's very rare to see it from that latitude, I was super happy to be there at the right moment to catch this picture. This photo was taken in one single long exposure.
