Life in the Yukon is one of opposites; in summer the sun is up 24hrs a day, in winter, we're lucky to get 5 hours of daylight to accompany our -20 degree days. However, our night skies become illuminated by a different kind of light, the Aurora Borealis. This is a photo of our home in the woods, in the early hours of the morning, with the Aurora dancing overhead. For most, the temperature would be a deal breaker, but for us, it means that the greatest light show on earth is about to return. And no, it never gets boring!
