The view of Mount Birdwood and the Birdwood Lakes as seen from high up on Mt. Smutwood Ridge taken on a late October afternoon. Getting to this spot requires approximately a 19 km "round trip" hike taking about 6 to 7 hours. Mount Birdwood is a 3,097-metre summit in the Spray Mountains range of the Canadian Rockies. The mountain is situated on the east boundary of Banff National Park in the upper Spray Valley Provincial Park - Kananaskis Country, Alberta.
