Every winter I trek through Presqu'ile Provincial Park heading to the beaches, and then walk on the frozen lake to Gull Island. And every winter I spot a Snowy Owl hunting for prey. On this particular day, at the far tip of Gull Island, ducks were gathered in an open section of water, and a Snowy Owl was preparing to hunt. The Owl hid behind a floating section of ice and snow, waiting for his moment of attack.
